Scholarship applications submitted by bypassing required steps will be rejected and not considered.
What is an External Opportunity?
External opportunities function like advertisements. Their goal is primarily to provide applicants with information about funding opportunities provided by Foundation donors or donor organizations for which the Foundation do not process applications. From the applicant perspective, external opportunities applications are separate from the internal applications and recipients are determined by the donor or donor organization.
Important External Opportunity Concepts
- Applications for External opportunities cannot be accepted through the system.
- Updates and notifications (emails) for External opportunities cannot be made through the system.
- Applicants may search for particular External opportunities via keyword search.
- External opportunities do not hold qualification criteria, and thus cannot “match” applicants in the way that Automatch and Apply-to opportunities identify particular applicants. All applicants can see all Published External opportunities.
