VITAS Healthcare Donates To Nursing Program

On December 7, GCSC Foundation received a $15,000 donation from VITAS Healthcare which will benefit Gulf Coast State College nursing students. This donation will allow students to focus more on their studies and less on the financial stresses of college tuition.
Kenn Wallace, general manager for VITAS in Panama City, acknowledged the need for talented healthcare professionals in the area and expressed VITAS commitment to supporting the community by investing in future generations of nurses. VITAS began providing hospice care to patients and families in a six county Panama City area in July 2020.
Gulf Coast State College offers bachelors, associate degrees, and technical certification programs in nursing, health science and emergency services. The Foundation and Gulf Coast State College expresses their gratitude to VITAS Healthcare and their support of Gulf Coast State College Nursing Program.
