Family Donates $200,000 Towards Scholarships

The Foundation received a $200,000 gift from the Rosser Family with $120,000 of the gift creating six new scholarship opportunities in Education, Fire Science, and License Practical Nursing.
The scholarships were created by a gift from the Rosser Family. The Rosser Family Education Endowed Scholarship will offer two scholarship awards to Gulf Coast State College students majoring in Education or Early Education. The Rosser Family Fire Science Endowed Scholarship will offer two scholarship awards to Gulf Coast State College students accepted into the Fire Science program and the Rosser Family Gulf Franklin Center LPN Endowed scholarship will offer two scholarship awards to students who have been accepted into the LPN program at the Gulf Franklin Center. The scholarships can be used beginning in the fall 2021 academic cycle.
The gift also includes $20,000 to assist Gulf Coast State College students with emergency needs through the "Need It Now" counseling program and $60,000 in a program fund designated to assist with educational and program support.
