GCSC Foundation Receives Donation for Scholarship Programs
Panama City, FL – The Gulf Coast State College Foundation is excited to announce that it has received a donation totaling $100,000 from the Mr. and Mrs. George and Boopie McInnis. The donation will be used to support the Gulf Coast Guarantee Scholarship Fund.
“Boopie and I are excited to support the Gulf Coast State College Foundation with funding to support the Gulf Coast Guarantee program,” says Mr. George McInnis. “We are strong believers that an education is a key part of a student becoming better prepared for their future. We also support the requirement that to maintain their scholarship guarantee there are certain citizenship responsibilities that the student must maintain. We particularly like the face that the Gulf Coast Guarantee is restricted to our local students in Bay, Gulf and Franklin counties. It is gratifying to us to be able to help the young people of our community.”

It has truly been a pleasure getting to know the McInnis’ and I am honored to connect them more deeply with Gulf Coast State College and the GCSC Foundation,” said Dr. Sean Preston, Executive Director for the Gulf Coast Foundation.
A check presentation will be held during the District Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the William C. Cramer, Jr. Seminar Room.
