Gulf Coast State College Foundation Board of Directors Retreat - May 16, 2025

Published on May 21, 2025

On Friday, May 16, the Gulf Coast State College Foundation held its annual Board of Directors Retreat, bringing together over 20 dedicated Foundation directors for a full day of strategic planning, collaboration, and learning. The retreat provided a valuable opportunity for board members to engage in in-depth discussions on the Foundation’s mission, goals, and continued impact on Gulf Coast State College and the broader community.

Ashlin Glatthar, Executive Director of the Foundation, led the retreat, guiding participants through the Foundation’s current initiatives and future direction. The session featured insightful contributions from Kentrie LeDee, a strategic planner from Lone Star College, who facilitated focused planning exercises aimed at refining the Foundation’s vision and long-term strategy.

Jason Small and Mark Kallis of FiduciaryVest shared financial insights and investment updates, reinforcing the Foundation’s strong commitment to fiduciary responsibility and sustainable growth. Additionally, the board had the opportunity to hear from Chris Stowers, Executive Director of the Northwest Florida State College Foundation, who provided perspective on Foundation community engagement from a peer institution.

Throughout the day, attendees explored the critical role the Foundation plays in supporting Gulf Coast State College through scholarships, program development, and community partnerships. With 31 directors currently serving on the board, the Foundation continues to be a driving force in enhancing educational opportunities and student success in the region.

This retreat reaffirmed the board’s shared commitment to stewarding resources wisely, advancing strategic priorities, and strengthening the Foundation’s role as a vital partner in the College’s mission.
