Kevin Husum and George HusumFor the last two years Barb Husum and her family have hosted a memorial golf tournament to honor her late husband, George and her late son, Kevin. Each year the Gulf Coast State College Foundation has been the designed charitable organization for the tournament. This year, the Husum Family contributed $2,500 to help award scholarships to deserving students in the Nursing, Culinary, Baseball, Physical Therapy, Military, and Law Enforcement programs.
"Our family has always supported Gulf Coast State College over the years and Kevin played baseball under Coach Kandler. This is the reason we selected the Foundation as our the charitable organization for this tournament." noted Barb Husum.
Over the last two years, the Husum Family has contributed over $7,200 to the Foundation and those funds have helped ten deserving Gulf Coast State College students.
